Ten things...Monday

1) I'm planning my week currently & watching the today show. I watch this almost every morning..and enjoy it. Sometimes I'm like, "REALLY?" to some of the advice that is given on the show. Anyways, this isn't about advice right now. Just a few minutes ago they were talking about how women avoid/despise their mother-in-law. This just made me realize how grateful I am for my mother-in-law. She has NEVER been "terrible" as many of these women talked about. I'm not dumb, to know that there are definitely some over bearing MIL's out there. I'm just blessed with a wonderful one. She even said something while we were in town, that clearly communicated that she knew I was #1 in Teddy's life now. This is where the normal tension comes in. Thanks Susan! :)

2) it's been a little while since I posted. Life in October has been nuts. Out of town the first two weekends. This weekend did a few things too. Mostly, I can't believe that it's already October 17th. WHAT? and...it's going to be 85 today. Not October weather.

3) fall break (2nd weekend out of town) was amazing. We went to Norman, OK to see my friend Taylor, went to Ashley & John's wedding in Oklahoma City, OK, went to Iowa Park/Wichita Falls to see lots of family (Mother-in-law, Teddy's step-dad, sister-in-law, nephew, aunt/uncle, nana), Ft. Worth to see MORE family (My mom & dad, plus teddy's dad & step-mom, 3 half sisters, 1 step sister, niece, Mamaw) and we also got to hang out with Matt/Kinsey (short bit) & Josh/Katie (long time). Went on a "day-date" Monday (Panera bread & zoo). It was a WONDERFUL 5 days.

4) All this craziness equals less time at the gym. This week I'm getting back on it. Looks like I will be paying for my own gym membership next month...because it's been a week. DARN! Plus, it's hard to stay on a diet with the schedule isn't normal. I've still been doing well with cokes. I've only had 2 cokes in the span of two weeks. For a girl who had one (sometimes two) in a day...this is GOOD!

5) Teddy has the day off today. I hear him getting out of bed. I'm excited to spend some of the morning with him before my first appointment at 11am.

6) I still go through moments when I wish we lived in a bigger place. But I'm always having to remind myself that this isn't where we are going to live for the rest of our lives.

7) This past week our regional directors were in town. I happen to have a wonderful relationship with the women leader. Mary Beth was at tech when I was a student. She left a year before I became an intern. She is someone that I have high respect for, for many different reasons. I was excited to spend some time with her & looking forward to seeing her again at Pine Cove (our location for region wide staff retreat).

8) I believe I'm letting my hair grow back out. It's already quite a bit longer from when I chopped it off in June....I figured I would keep it going. It would probably take me another 2 years to grow it out again. I don't think it will ever be THAT long again, but I will let it grow now.

9) We passed by another month of marriage. We have been married 7 months & 3 days. :) It's flying by. Next thing we know it will be ONE YEAR! how fun!

10) I'm running out of things to say again. Hence why I start out long & end up with short paragraphs. I actually need to finish getting ready for the day. :) Oh wait, I remembered one thing...I want to carve a pumpkin this year. This thought comes and goes each year. This year I wanna! I'm going to make this happen!

Hope you enjoy your week!
