I'm backkk

I was doing so well with this blog...but whoops...a month has flown by.

So much has happened.
1) We went on a staff (summer project) retreat at Big Cedar Lodge in Arkansas & spent the 4th there too. It was a blast! I spent my days going from the lake, to a pool, then back to the lake. We ate great food with people that became our good friends in 6 weeks.

 2) There was a staff appreciation banquet. Our growth team honored us in front of everyone. They said some really sweet things. My girls gave me flowers & they made the trip back to DFW & Lubbock. They just rode our cup holders. :)

 3) We got back to Ft. Worth loaded up our last bit of furniture & things that had been at my parents house throughout this past year while raising support.  We rented a uhaul truck & made the trip back to Lubbock.
4) We have spent time hanging with our Lubbock friends, meeting new staff friends, raising some support, getting our house put together, going on dates, seeing some of our best friends have their first baby, and resting.

We are leaving tomorrow for a family reunion in Breckenridge, Colorado! We cannot wait to be up in the mountains. The high is 70 there & low 48...YES! Then we head on a staff retreat with our new staff team here at Texas Tech. We will spend time bonding as a team, planning some for the semester, and enjoy getting to know one another.

Starting Aug 5th we will be go, go, go. Next time we will have a break will be Thanksgiving (NOVEMBER!!). We are really looking forward to all this too! I will try to be better at blogging again. You know...it just comes and goes, but there is plenty to be blogged about now a-days!
